Women flyers fail in endurance flight record attempt
Bobbie Trout of Los Angeles and Elinor Smith of New York failed to beat the 420 hour 21 minute 58 second endurance record when fuel ran low and they landed at 3 45 a m after 42 hours 5 minutes in the air. The flight set a women’s endurance record and a refueling flight. They planned a third attempt after motor overhaul.

Gas Overcomes Bus Passengers in Pittsburgh Route
