Wayland residents hosted and visited relatives during Thanksgiving travel. Mrs. Charles Hultman and Mrs. Arthur Peterson with daughter Aan visited in Helabird enroute home from Huron. Carthage High School Vacation Amid Conference Travel

Obituary Mrs Janet Yuill Smith dies after long illness

Funeral services for Mrs Janet Yuill Smith were held at her home in Huron on Sunday afternoon with officers of the Order of Eastern Star in charge. Burial was beside her husband and an infant in Riverside cemetery. She was born November 4 1841 in Brucefield Ontario and died aged 90. Survivors include three daughters Mrs J W Worrall Mrs Agnes Thames and Mrs Anny M Sanderson three sons David W Smith Daniel F Smith and Robert A Smith, all of Bellingham Wash two brothers Robert Yuill and J W Yuill twelve grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
