Openings for a limited number of seventeen year olds to enlist in the Marine Corps were announced by Major W L Harding of the Marine Recruiting office in charge of Minnesota and North Dakota enlistments. Men will count on the December quota and may be enlisted as papers are completed. Do not wait until near 18th birthday. come in at least three weeks early for examinations and paperwork. Enlisted men will be on temporary inactive duty pending training at Marine Base San Diego. Applicants may contact the Minneapolis St Paul Duluth Albert Lea or Fargo recruiting offices for information.
