Oct. 1929 Large Cattle Shipments Across Markets

October shipments of stacker and feeder cattle to the corn belt states were large, about one percent higher than October 1928 and the biggest for the month in five years. For July to October, shipments were about five percent below 1928 and roughly four percent under the five-year average. Prices for feeder cattle were strong late October, with spreads to beef steers narrowing but widening again as November brought price drops.

South Dakota Tao Forensic Club Enlists 25 Members
