Removing Stains From Wood Floors
A historical note advises using a solution of one teaspoon oxalic acid in hot water to remove stains from old wood floors. The liquid is poisonous and should be kept away from people and animals. It should be allowed to sit on the wood overnight, then all traces of the acid must be thoroughly rinsed away.
