Adolph W. Ewert, former rural credit board treasurer, serving 11 years for embezzlement, plans to seek a pardon before the state pardon board on December 16. Father Shoots Entire Family Tragedy in Uniontown
Uniontown, November 13. R W Playford a 55 year old lawyer and banker killed his three children Nancy 13 Margaret 10 Pauline 9 and then killed himself. Mrs Playford 45 who had been Nancy Stirling before marriage was gravely wounded. A maid Viola White found the scene after hearing shots early morning. Police believe business worries drove Playford to temporary insanity. Mrs Playford is not expected to live.

Gottlieb Sprieck 87 Dies at Daughter's Home
Gottlieb Sprieck died yesterday at his daughter Mrs. Henry Keil's home 12 miles southwest of Huron. He was born in Prussia on April 2, 163 and was 81 at death. Surviving children include Mrs. Keil of Alpena Mrs Otto Seybert of Havelock Juliae Sprieck of Pilger and Otto Sprieck of Laurelville. The body will go to Glendale Nebraska for funeral and burial beside his wife.
