Supreme Court declines review of Cuy bond case
The Supreme Court refused to grant certiorari in the City of Huron bond dispute with special assessment bondholders led by trustee IT G Evenson. Lower courts found the city liable for delinquent principal and interest on $18,000 in bonds due to miscertified delinquent assessments by city officials. The 8th Circuit upheld judgment for bondholders, confirming breach of the covenant, while Longstaff's petition noted that denial does not imply correctness of the decision.
