Study of Social Security Taxes By Advisory Council Tomorrow
The advisory council on social security will meet tomorrow to consider multiple taxation of old age benefits. Comprising six employers, six employees, and 12 public members, the group may recommend changes to the act. The issue stems from tax rules that tax the first 3000 of each job when an individual has multiple employers, causing higher total levies for some workers.
