Bushfield Pensions Called a Hoax by County Auditor
Brown County Deputy Auditor Al Kraft charged Governor Bushfield with a pure political hoax over pension pledges. He cited an October 28 letter from Assistant Attorney General Mintener declaring needed funds cannot be returned from the state general fund without an appropriation. Kraft said the shift in legal opinion delayed to shield Bushfield critics from exposing faulty pledges, noting Brown County taxpayers face an extra 40,000 yearly for dependent mothers care.
