Body of girl found in swamp near Twerron Indiana

Temblors Ravage Argentina Toll Rises

Rogers Is Free In Second Trial In Watertown

In Watertown on May 81, Rogers was acquitted of the July 16 1927 slaying of Roy D Landers in a hotel room. The verdict of not guilty came after a nine day circuit court trial. Rogers bond was exonerated and the defense argued the killing was to protect his wife Patty Rogers from dishonor. The state claimed Lander was lured to the room to extort money.

Chicago May prices fell across wheat and rye as profits from selling declined after unfavorable foreign news and end month settlements. Reese Elevator Destroyed In Overnight Turon Fire

Firemen battled an all night blaze at the Sheldon F. Reese elevator and grain mill in Turon destroying the main building and most grain stock. Three Huron Men Escape Serious Injury In Car Fire
