Substantial Savings From Huron Municipal Greenhouse Project
Huron builds a municipal greenhouse near the James River disposal plant under City Park Superintendent Robert Fair. The 18 by 80 foot structure uses recycled materials and aims to save hundreds yearly by supplying bedding plants and shrubs for parks, with surplus propagating stock to boost 1937 plantings. The project, viewed by other cities, plans landscaping and further shelving to expand capacity.
