Cheyenne Agency Plans Federal Forestry Camp
Cheyenne Agency May 25 A federal reforestation camp is designated for the Cheyenne River Indian reservation. Tentative for 200 men over six months, work includes road and range projects, fences corrals water improvements erosion control and fire suppression. Labor to a large extent to be performed by Indians. Plans foresee multiple road bridges dams and graveling with several camps and crews, subject to department approval.

Black Hills youths sign on for beet field work
More than 100 boys from the Black Hills have signed to work in beet fields around Belle Fourche for the Black Hills sugar plant. Starting about June 10, they will perform blocking thinning hoeing and weeding under a supervisor for groups of 24 to 32. Ideal weather supports planting as 14 000 acres are contracted with more to come.

Teapot accident burns Gaylord Lowther in Wellington Springs
