Redfield Flower Bed Contest Promoted by Kiwanis Club

Groton Man Sentenced For Possessing Beer
Webster May 19. Cearl Anderson of Groton convicted of transporting liquor in 14 cases of 22 ounce beer bought in Minnesota. Judge Van Buren Perry ordered 60 days in jail and a $500 fine. Anderson’s attorney said an appeal will be filed if the motion for a new trial is denied. In a separate liquor case, Harry Unwise was fined $1,000, sentenced to six months in jail, and his auto was confiscated after conviction for transporting.
