Being At Odds Does Not Stop Arms Trades

The article notes that despite enmity between nations, arms trades and royalties persist. In Parliament, British War Secretary Belisha defended royalty payments to Germany on Bren gun patents and noted the guns are now made in England. Pressed by Sexton, Belisha insisted contracts remain valid. The piece also recounts Czech Skoda outputs sold to Germany and a blocked blackout test in Yorkshire and Lincolnshire due to mislabeled lamps. It ends with a 1939 forecast of higher egg and poultry production in the United States.
