David Leek Buried At Iroquois Today
David Leek died here Monday evening from a sudden heart attack. Services were held at the farm home near Iroquois and at the Iroquois Methodist church, with interment at Lognois. The obituary notes he was a pioneer in the western part of Kingr bury county.

Wheat and corn price outlook unchanged in US market report
A government review states carryover wheat in the United States on July 2 should not be much smaller than last year, with supply ample for shipment. It notes prices likely to stay near early March levels unless crop conditions worsen, and cites a spring wheat acreage about 20.99 million acres, down 2.5 percent from 1932. In South Dakota durum wheat planted area is down 35 percent, spring wheat up 3 percent. Corn markets remain weak with low demand and ample supplies, and March 1 intentions estimate US corn acreage about 25 percent below last year.

Youth Struck By Car In Serious Condition
Sioux Falls report says 12 year old Ur-Richard Avery of Illinois was hit by a car Tuesday night and remains in serious condition with a basal skull fracture and semi conscious state. Mrs Whitefield notes the boy leaped from the curb into the vehicle path.

Watertown Judge Rules Dogs Have Rights In City
In Watertown municipal court Judge Lloyd B. ruled that dogs have rights as well as people. Lloyd Richmond’s dog will not be killed despite threats to bite delivery workers. The judge said a dog should not be teased beyond endurance and ordered the animal kept under control with neighbors informed to respect the dog’s rights.
