Virgil Teachers Elected for Coming Year
At a Virgil school board meeting in March 29, Superintendent Floyd Camn will head the staff next fall. Teachers include Miss Mamie McMullen history and English Miss Winona Roosevelt English James Peek seventh and eighth grades Mrs Bessie Holtey intermediate and Miss Eva Thomas primary. The latter two stayed from last year and live in Virgil. Building permits urged as several new structures rise without permits, says Building Inspector John Benney.

Prizes Offered for Huron Model Airplane Contest
Huron boys may win cash prizes totaling 15 dollars in a model airplane contest at the Huron theater next Saturday afternoon during the screening of Buddy Rogers in Young Eagles. More than a hundred local youths have built planes ranging from Spirit of St Louis models to tri motor crafts. First prize 10 dollars, second prize six dollars, third prize three dollars, fourth prize three dollars, fifth prize two dollars. Planes accepted starting Monday, judged Saturday noon, and entrants receive a theater guest pass to see the film. Judges include Jack Frost, Harland Hedbloont, and Byron McElligott.
