Farm property tax cuts shown under new gross receipts law
Pierre March 23 Farm property in South Dakota counties would see tax reductions from 20 to over 58 percent under the proposed gross receipts tax. L E Corey state finance director used 1932 figures to estimate reductions by county, noting the law would raise about 9 million dollars annually to replace state and school taxes. Reductions would apply differently per county based on current tax allocations.

Redfield Lodge marked its annual Commandery inspection with about fifty attendees from Huron and Watertown. D. W. Steele of Watertown led ceremonies, an 8:30 dinner followed in the dining room hosted by Dad Barden and four DeMolay boys, with cooking by Mr. and Mrs. Helstropf. Roy T.
