Wages Raised for Two Truck Driver Jobs in Huron
The city commission raised pay for two permanent truck driver positions at a recent meeting, with civil service board approval and no dissent. Even with higher wages, wartime plant salaries remain a key competition factor as the city plans to add four drivers, a paid assistant chief, and an electrical inspector once filled. The article also lists local servicemen stationed at various bases, their assignments, and new addresses for several soldiers and cadets.
