Wisconsin Glacier compared with Giant Road glacier history
Vermillion March 2. W H Over of the University of South Dakota museum explains the Wisconsin glacier’s impact on the Great Plains. The ice moved south over Missouri River land, leveling hills, scouring valleys, and destroying life before seeds and grasses reestablished herds of buffalo and other wildlife. Spirit Mound near Vermilion marks the region’s least-glaciated spot, showing the glacier’s edge and remaining drifts above undisturbed bedrock.

The communications commission urged a Justice Department probe into gambling use of AT and T facilities. The House passed a Senate approved bill exempting RC securities from taxes as Roosevelt planned talks with General Hagood during travel south.
