Cattle rustler found guilty of grand larceny in Plankinton
Harley Thomas of White Lake was found guilty of grand larceny by a circuit court jury after 12 hours of deliberation. Judge R. C. Bakewell will sentence him Monday. Three accomplices—George Range and brothers Clyde and Lee Cross—are already serving 10-year terms in the state penitentiary, named as part of the cattle stealing ring that stole 39 head from L. P. Wellington Springs March 18 A school board meeting approved a large salary cut for teachers in the coming year with most reelected at about ten percent less pay. Plans call for one or two fewer teachers and a total 1991 2 budget of 23490. Savings from reduced salaries and two fewer teachers would drop costs by around 20 percent.
