Howard James Herman, 17, son of Mrs. Sadie M. Herman of Condé, died in a Aberdeen hospital after a two day illness from pneumonia. Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2:30 pm in the Condé Methodist Church. He leaves his mother, two brothers Frank W. and Robert, a sister Mrs. Waldemar Toppila, all of Condé, and a sister Jessie Opal who preceded him in death. his father died two years ago. He was a sophomore at the Canc high school.

James L. Kelley 37 of Dubuque Illinois was brought back to face charges in Wessington Springs for short changing several local merchants yesterday.
