Large scale farming begins on Seaman ranch
Rapid City report says Ray Decker has leased the 5200 acre Charles Seaman place on Sprint Creek. He moved five tractors and will have about 29 dollars worth of machinery on site. A cook shack feeds the workers as he plans no wheat sowing but 2800 acres of flax and the rest in barley oats and iced crows. Later he will sow a large tract of alfalfa.

State pork exhibit teaches economical hog production
BROOKINGS March 6. An object lesson in economical pork production was shown at the Little International Stock and Grain show at State College. The animal husbandry department arranged the display in the college meat shop, featuring four hogs of different types with live weights of 262, 390, 222 and 138 pounds. Professors Fenn said the light-medium butcher would fetch the highest price, about 7 dollars per hundred, with other carcass values noted.
