Redfield June 14 A transient Raymond Taylor was sentenced by Judge Alvan Taylor at Huron to one year in the state penitentiary at Sioux Falls for automobile theft. Taylor had been released from the Nebraska state penitentiary in March and drifted nationwide. He allegedly stole a car in Redfield on May 11 owned by H C Chambers of Faulkton. the car was found east of St Paul two days later. He confessed June 13 and was sentenced after a preliminary hearing. he expressed optimism that economic conditions would improve by the time of his release to find work.
