Cat rescue tale ends with Williams trio in well
In Mexico Missouri on June 13 Mrs. C Williams fell into a well while rescuing her cat who also slipped in. Her husband then fell in and all three were stranded until firemen and Chief Floyd Bradley aided their escape. The cat drowned as nine lives appeared exhausted.

In Pierre eight defendants were sentenced by Judge A L Wyman as the U S district court session adjourned. Raymond One Skunk of the Cheyenne reservation changed his plea to guilty for larceny of livestock and received a suspended two year term with probation. Other sentences included liquor and still violations, a two year term for a transported stolen automobile, and various suspended sentences with probation for multiple defendants from Cheyenne reservation and nearby areas.
