Huron Graduates Will Go Abroad
Dr. E. J. Hunt and his family of Swarthmore Pennsylvania will spend the coming year in the British Isles. Hunt, acting dean of the English department at Swarthmore, will study at the University of Edinburgh on leave. Custer district closes year with budget under by seven hundred
Custer independent school district finished the 1932 33 year about 700 under its estimated budget and roughly 6000 under last year’s expenditures. Superintendent Lindsey’s report, approved by the board, notes no reduction in teaching staff despite a cold winter and spring. Savings came from fuel reductions as wood was used in most buildings and a good wood supply from local residents, plus voluntary salary cuts by many instructors last fall.
