Dormitory Living Boosts Freshmen Grades at State College
BROOKINGS June 7 Freshmen men in the State College dormitory posted higher grades than peers in private housing, cited by Dean G. L. Brown. The dean says dorm life fosters sustained study, prompting a policy requiring non Brookings home freshmen to dorm next year unless parents request otherwise. Women from outside Brookings already must live in dormitories, a rule to continue. For non dorm students, a survey of off campus rooms is available.
