A new six week summer playground program in Huron will open June 16 for youths 12 to 16. Leo A. Temmey chairs the effort with John Bangerter and A L Hurley in charge of older and craft activities. Mrs Harry M Lier returns to supervise younger children and girl activities. Five directors will lead sessions at five city grade schools with Leila Steele and Juanita Murphy returning from last year.

William McAdoo Dies at 76 in New York City
William McAdoo longtime New York official and former assistant secretary of the navy died at his Park Avenue home after a several day illness. He was 76 and had served as New York Police Commissioner in 1904 05 and as chief city magistrate beginning in 1910. He represented the seventh New Jersey district in Congress from 1883 to 1891.
