Mae West in Goin' To Town at Huron Theatre
Amusements column reviews Mae West in Goin to Town, noting 1935 film trends with West’s new persona as a society hunter. The plot follows an heiress who widens her cultural credit to woo an Englishman and win approval, amid melodrama and a murder scare. Reviewers mix nostalgia with critique of off color humor and pacing, while noting audience responses.
