The navy said his gunshot wound to the side is not serious, and he is treated at the corps hospital. He, a Nazareth, Pennsylvania native, enlisted in 1984 and had been in Peiping since 1935. About 249 Americans were sheltered by Marines in embassy tents as violence raged around the ancient walled city.
More than 200 adults were turned away from Dorothy Gill's cooking school at Hur on Theater. Miss Gill demonstrated air conditioned kitchen cooking and recipes, with tomorrow's Circus Cake feature and take-home samples planned for attendees.

Ralph Morrison, a transient arrested here Sunday for Montes County Iowa law enforcement, was returned there yesterday by Sheriff John W. Goodwin of Albis. Morrison will face a felony charge, accused of stealing livestock in Iowa. He waived extradition.
