Carthage July 27 A produce truck ride on the bumper led to 11 year old Bobby Hicks son of Mr and Mrs E A Hicks of Carthage being fatally crushed when he fell under the wheels after clinging to the bumper during loading at a Swift & Company station The driver Joe Gergen of Huron was exonerated by a coroner's jury which ruled accidental death The boy had been warned repeatedly not to ride on the truck and his funeral arrangements had not been made. The incident prompted an investigation by Miner county officers.

Boy 11 Killed Near Hen House in Aberdeen
