Rapid City July 7 Reuben Stanton was shot by J C White after White demanded the pair put up their hands. Stanton was hit in the neck and spine and listed with a slim chance of recovery. White, about 30, had taken his 11 year old nephew Snyder and fled in a Ford coupe. A stolen grocery truck later abandoned off Ancony Hill led to a pursuit. Joy Gormley was arrested as a second robber. Stanton and Snyder were treated at Rapid City hospital. White injured in the thigh.
