Retail Prices Change Authority Varies Between Offices
The state Price Administration director said local retailers cannot seek price changes. Regional office in Chicago holds that power, while the state office only forwards forms. Forms available from local war price boards or the state office. Retailers should not request changes unless their ceiling is abnormally low and continued sales cause substantial hardship.

Feed Grain Supply May Be Below Mark Set During 1941 42
Indications in June showed the total supply of four principal feed grains for 1942 43 may run about four percent below the near record supply of 1941 42. Prospective livestock increases will cut feed grain per animal unit by about ten percent. Despite rains delaying the corn crop, prospects are favorable for 1942 feed grains with hay production expected above 100 million tons. Prices of most feeds to rise in 1942 43, loan values for corn higher, barley and grain sorghums up 10 to 15 percent. Soybean meal prices fell to levels not seen since last fall amid large production and cheaper protein forage. Washing eggs removes protective coating hastening deterioration.
