Aberdeen report says Fred Walker a 13 year old supplement dealer from Ellendale N D died in hospital Tuesday afternoon from injuries suffered in an Ellendale auto crash Sunday night. He sustained a critical pelvic injury when his car overturned and a blood clot formed causing death. Funeral notices indicate relatives traveling from out of town to attend.

PIERRE July 6 A state railroad commission announces reduced freight rates on canned goods moving from eastern cannery districts to South Dakota. First class basis drops from 35 to 27.4 percent, enabling a 36 000 pound shipment to save 16 cents per hundred pounds. A car would save about 54 dollars.
Yale July 6 Farmers Cooperative Creamery resumed under Alex Culhane of Ruren as butter huttermaker with J. P. Gross as assistant. Culhane reports strong business last week. Interior white washed and machinery overhauled and cleaned.
Final rehearsals for Yardton college summer play The Physician in Spite of Himself by Moliero progress this week. Lester Kremer directs the production with Yankton students and staff coordinating technical and stage roles for the July 1 Garden Terrace performance.

Funeral services for Exnil Meier were held on July 5 at two o clock from Bastiam Funeral Parlors in Woonsocket. Burial was in the Butler Cemetery near Leether.
