Ohio Train Bandits Hold Up Big Four Train
Six armed bandits robbed a Big Four train from Detroit to Cincinnati near Belle Fontaine Ohio. They took money and jewels worth about $3 000 and shot Edwin K Nelson Jr of Tampa Fla who was seriously wounded while shouting for help. Passengers were guarded and valuables taken as the train stopped briefly at Belle Fontaine before the robbers fled toward a station.
