Miller Shuns Washington Influence for Senate Bid
Lieut. Gov. A. C. Miller declared in Kemeec, Jan. 18, that the Republican nominating candidate for United States Senate should not be closely tied to national politics. He opposes Chan Gurney, cites six years in state government, and predicts a GOP victory with focus on postwar recovery. He criticizes Washington for indifference to small business, socialist trends, price controls, and postwar spending without a clear policy.
