The Lincoln P. T. A. held a regular meeting at Lincoln School. Cub Scouts led with the flag salute, and Mrs. Atwood presented Cub activities and finances which were accepted. The group donated 2 to the Student Loan Fund and 1 to the Founders Day Fund and heard about a forthcoming school lunch bulletin. The fourth grade won the room trophy as Maureen Arts and John Kelson from Huron College performed Grieg and Spanish pieces.

Women jurors bill proposed in South Dakota legislature
A bill to exempt nurses and expectant mothers from jury service was introduced in the South Dakota House by Rep. A. H. Kemper of Sioux Falls. Other measures seek to repeal headlight certificate licensing, revise election law notices, and shift judges and clerks duties with pay tweaks. The Senate also received a joint appropriation proposal for legislative salaries and expenses, and a wartime housing agency bill with an emergency clause.
