Politician A O Ringerud Dies in Sioux City
A O Ringerud, longtime businessman and prominent South Dakota politician from Ele Point, S D, died in a Sioux City hospital after a lengthy illness of peritonitis. He was 76. Ringerud owned one of the oldest general stores in the state and had served as Union County treasurer and secretary of state, and he ran unsuccessfully for governor in 1898.
