Motive Sought In Hanging Of Three Children
CHICAGO Jan. 4 Authorities sought reasons for nurse Mary Roth who cared for two children at the John H Heindel home in River Forest to hang the two infants and herself. Police said the woman’s affection for the children may have turned to jealousy and insanity as she tied the sleeping children’s bodies after placing them in a gas-filled kitchen. The parents, attending a bridge party, discovered the scene after police helped break in.
