Yale Lutherans Elect Officers at Annual Meeting

Yale January 4 Special report: August Music was elected trustee of Trinity Liberal church for three years. Treasurer C W Lemke presented the annual report. Other officers named include Charles Kuehl secretary for two years, Rev W J Isreal secretary for two years, Richard Flender delegate to the Lutheran Churches of North America conference at River Forest Illinois, and Carl Boetel an alternate. Lone Possum Killed in Vermillion State

A lone opossum, a rarely seen species in the region, was found dead in Vermillion during winter. The animal, about 1a-pear old, wandered from a persimmon patch and was discovered by local hunters. Hotel Operator Bound Over to Federal Court

M J Wagner operator of the Bluebird Hotel at Springfield was bound over on 25000 bond to federal court by U S Commissioner Stickey charged with violation of National Prohibition laws after a raid December 13. Wagner was arrested following the raid and the case moved from state to federal court with Le Senne acting as federal prohibition administrator testifying that liquor was found in the hotel.

Building Would Cost 112500 For State Office Plan

Pierre January 4. J Bir k ham former state bridge engineer writes Governor Bulow proposing an auxiliary state capital office building to house 312 people. He estimates 188 by 185 feet three stories high at 113500 excluding furnishings and suggests stone could be made at Rapid City cement plant or penitentiary. He envisions construction by state workers with minimal extra costs. An extension of time is noted by department officials.
