Standardization advances rural mail service with a new No 2 mailbox approved by the Postmaster General to replace the old No 1. Elks Lodge Wins In High Tribunal
Beadle county circuit court ruling for Huron Lodge No. 444 of the B P O E upheld by the state supreme court on rehearing. Hinckley had argued the note was an investment and that the lodge received no value for the note, but the court found sufficient consideration as the lodge spent funds on the Elks Building. A dissent cautioned the note might represent bonds for a donation rather than a promissory obligation. The case began nearly five years ago with Hinckley appealing after an adverse circuit court ruling.
