Stork Fact Records Slow in Kingsbury County 1937
Lake Preston Jan 3 Special Dan Cupid Father Tie and the Stork, per Kingsbury County clerk of courts John MacAdaragh, have fallen behind schedule in 1937 with divorces operating normally. Births at about 210, the lowest in years, with many delayed registrations back to 1881 and 1889. Deaths ran below normal, about 79 this year, with 119 in 1979 noted as a low. Naturalization surged, 12 declarations for first-time citizens, largest since the mood. Some applicants believed themselves citizens by earlier law, but social security rules require declarations now.
