Sedam of St Lawrence Celebrates 90th Birthday

Robert T. Sedam a Civil War veteran and Hand county resident since 1881 marked his ninetieth birthday in St Lawrence yesterday. Daughters hosted lunch for about 40 guests including several fellow veterans and relatives from nearby towns. Born February 15 1839 in Union County Pennsylvania he enlisted in 1861 and served in the 15th Illinois Infantry enduring Andersonville captivity before returning west to Hand county.
