Jury verdict for Daum in suit against Urquhart

A circuit court jury awarded Gari E. Daum seven thousand dollars plus interest, minus one dollar seventy five, finding Urquhart liable for extortion and Daum not entitled to punitive damages. The trial lasted a week with final arguments Saturday, and the verdict split ten to two.

Ed wart Heath 45 a noted stunt flyer and designer of the Heath parasol plane died in a 3 foot plunge while testing a two seater parasol monoplane near Morton Grove. Heath, president of Heath Aircraft Corporation, had long pursued aviation experiments and won prizes in light airplane contests and national air races.

Mrs. Axelrad Dies in Chicago After Ill Health

Mrs. Anna Axelrad wife of Simon Axelrad died Saturday night in a Chicago hospital after about two years of heart disease. She accompanied her husband to Chicago January 9, visited her father S C Cohen and a sister. Funeral planned for 1:30 p m at the Cohen home with burial in a China cemetery. Survived by husband two sons Irving 15 and Howard 13 father S Cohen and a sister. Residence listed as 990 Dakota avenue south. Adolph Axelrad brother headed to Chicago with wife for the funeral.

Two Convicts Killed In Chase

New York February 2. A 90 mile automobile chase across three counties ended with two fugitives killed and a third captured. The trio, from Eastview penitentiary, escaped Christmas Eve and fled toward White Plains. A lookout, John Creadon, was captured. Peter Reynolds was beaten into submission in Yonkers as their Ironvicus car left the road and wrecked in a ditch after shots near Beacon failed to stop the robbers.

Huron Man Named Mine Superintendent

PIERRE February 2 appointment of L. H. Sohn of Huron as temporary superintendent of the state coal mine in Adama county North Dakota announced by Governor Warren Green. Sohn, who has audited for the state, was directed to proceed to the mine and take charge. Russell Phillips, removed today by the legislative investigating committee, had been acting superintendent.
