Cattle Feeding Topic Highlighted in Eastern Normal Class
Madison December 21 notes from an agriculture evening class at Eastern high school report that protein supplements boost milk and butterfat. A proposed ration using corm fodder silage Russian thistle and pigeon grass hay plus tankage would meet 1200 pound cow needs for 20 pounds of 35 percent milk at about 19 cents daily without grain, deemed cheaper than other plans.
