South Dakota High Placings at Chicago Hay and Grain Show
Fifty South Dakota entries in the hay and grain section at the Chicago International show earned notable placings. Fred Kotler Parker won second in Spartan barley with Henry Ward third in field beans, while Brockmueller Freeman and Sam Brockmueller earned several top results. A J Norgaard praised the county’s standout display, featuring eight enlarged photos of South Dakota agriculture and a grasses exhibit at Brookings. About 400000 visitors viewed the exhibition.
