Link Robberies And Kidnapping Pair Held In Sturgis Ally
Two Rapid City men, Oscar Jezek and Don McMurray, held on 10 000 bonds, face circuit court in connection with the kidnapping of Mary Jane Eastman and are suspected in a series of Black Hills safe robberies. Rose McMurray released on recognizance. The arrests follow a Belle Fourche Lumber Company office robbery on November 27 where armed robbers forced owner M W Hannah out, and fled. The trio may be the same as those who robbed safes in Sturgis and nearby cities. Eastman, from her El Creek home, says McMurray pulled a gun during the abduction. Mrs. Eastman is 27 and the mother of two children.
