One Killed as Alleged Box Car Burglar Ring Nabbed
In Roberts ville Maryland police and railroad detectives rounded up a gang of alleged box car burglars after a pursuit in railroad yards. One youth Jack Griffith aged 16 was killed and Edward Martin age 16 was wounded while fleeing after a robbery. Six other boys were later arrested after questioning Martin.

Planes Collide Over Michigan During Maneuvers
Two Selfridge Field planes collided 3000 feet up during a flight with 16 others near Clemens Michigan. Pilots Lieutenant E Underhill from Brighton Massachusetts and Lieutenant Llewellen Ryan of Elk Point South Carolina parachuted to safety uninjured as wings tore from the aircraft.
