Charles Paulson fifty five, of near Gettysburg, drowned in the Missouri River when a party crossing from an island to shore was capsized. Art Wagner and Loraine Vail escaped. Paulson's body recovered next morning. A life preserver and rough water contributed to the tragedy during a berry gathering trip with relatives.

Unemployed To Be Given Assistance At Sioux Falls College

PIERRE Aug bullheads totaling over 250 000 were taken from Scotchman Lake in Bennett County for stocking newly created artificial lakes in the west river county. H O Johnson director of the state game and fish department announced the transplanting under B L Ripple superintendent of state fisheries. Bullheads stocked many artificial lakes and dams west of the Missouri River. Large mouth bass released into deeper lakes. Department will stock private dams with free fishing privileges for local communities and seeks cooperation from individuals and organizations to provide fishing opportunities in every community.
