Miss Opal Telford, a Willow Lake teacher, wed Chester A Megard of Vienna at the Lutheran Church in Willow Tagten Sunday afternoon. Mrs. Megard taught near Pipestone and in Clark County. Mr. Megard farms with his father A M Megard near Virall. They left Sunday night for a ten day wedding trip. future plans not announced.

The bride, a graduate of Black Hills Teachers College Spearfish, has served as cashier at the Sturgis branch of Montana-Dakota Utilities Co for two years. The groom, a University of South Dakota alumnus and former Phi Tau Theta president, has Army reserve service with Ft Meade as a second lieutenant.

Miller guests host nine o clock breakfast and bridge games

Miller Society members entertained at a Friday morning breakfast with sixteen guests at garden table centers then played contract with scores led by Mrs Albert Shaw and Mrs Joseph Andreie. Prizes went to Mrs W G Redmond as the honors winner.

Vermillion and Huron visitors fill city briskly

Mrs A Strawn and Miss Dorothy Lann caster of Vermillion mother and niece of Mrs F L Willard arrived Saturday night to visit two weeks. Mr and Mrs L J Manning and children John and Mary Ellen returned home from a two weeks trip in northern Minnesota accompanied home by Mr Manning's two nephews Clark and Wayne Steele from Minneapolis. They will spend two weeks vacation here. Patricia Lund of Huron is spending a couple of weeks in Alpena at the E M Williams home. Remember Fleming's for Corsets advic Mrs Al Kruminda of De Smet was a business caller in the city yesterday. Mr and Mrs Merle Gunderson and children and Mrs Will Christiansen have retired from a vacation trip to Oklahoma City. They were gone a week, making the trip by car. Mrs H C McNichols and three cons Dale Freeman and Dwayne left for Mount Pleasant and other points in southeastern Iowa on a two weeks vacation trip. Miss Nancy Cave of Brookings is spending a few days in Huron visiting friends. Mr and Mrs Walter Kaar of Chicago visited over the weekend in Huron with Mr and Mrs I O Hagen. Yankton Official Drops Dead Today

Charles Steinbach clerk of courts for Yankton County collapsed at work around 10 15 after feeling ill and dying en route to a hospital. The physician suspects a coronary hemorrhage as cause. The Huron Co-Operative Club endorsed a plan to build a municipal golf course on the river site between the North Western Railway bridge and North Fourth Street highway bridge. Huron K O C to Be Guests of Mitchell

Mitchell Knights of Columbus council will host Huron K O C for a stag nie on Sunday August 22 with a golf tournament kittersball horseshoe and whist tournaments plus a Dutch lunch.
