John Evans Held For Theft Of Grain At Fair Grounds

John Evans state fair grounds caretaker was held for circuit court on two grand larceny charges after arraignment before Judge C N Hall. Prosecution said about $1000 in feed grain stored in the 4 H Club building at the fair grounds was stolen with some grain found in another building. Evans signed a confession and was held on $2000 bond. he has been active in local politics and previously ran for county offices.
